How To Navigate Your Weekend
Carlsbad Flower Fields is always a local favorite during the spring months. For anyone who enjoys sightseeing and photography particularly. This would be a great spot to take nice pictures with friends and family. Blueberry picking is also coming back this month. Please note: You must get tickets in advance through their website.
Also in Carlsbad, I recommend exploring The Carlsbad Village! Here you will find a great variety of unique shops and dining experiences. For anyone interested in the arts, and the village has a few galleries and exhibits to explore. Also, I recommend grabbing some delicious ice cream at Handels before heading home.
For our foodies out there we wanted to re-introduce you to San Diego’s restaurant week because the dinner menus from $30-$60 are amazing. Last night we had the 3-course $40 meal from Osteria Panevino and though the menu says no sharing, we got curbside pickup and shared the meal. No regrets on sharing because the pasta and appetizer portions were very generous for one person. If you are too busy to eat out this week, there are a good amount of restaurants offering curbside pick-up, so definitely check out the San Diego Restaurant Week website and support local!
Want a more low-key foodie experience this weekend? Visit your favorite North Park butcher, The Wise Ox, and check out Low & Slow Barbeque Saturdays. Enjoy some meat straight from the smoker along with house made sauces and sides. You can even grab some meats from the counter to cook at home later.
For anyone interested in themed parties attend the Parreo Party to this week. Listed as “The Ultimate Friday Night Latin themed experience that will be as unforgettable as it gets!” you are sure to have a good time if Latin music is your vibe. With sounds by: DJ Krucial x Ukeim x DJ Tony V DJ Bamboozle, make sure to get your tickets ahead of time because this is a private event.
Kick off your weekend in full self-care mode with Candle Making and Yoga or Kind Night at the Moons. Take a candle-making class and practice some yoga while you wait for your candle to dry. Bonus points if you follow it up with a candlelit bath when you get home. If you are looking for a more mellow experience, replenish your mind and body with a night of healing and celebrating women at Kind Night.
