We are almost through June, here is a fun weekend ahead delivered as promised:
This Thursday we have Riverfront Park Summer Sessions and Top Taco Festival. Escape the city and find home at Riverfront Park for an evening full of FREE live shows, local food, and booze. Each Summer Session features sets from local musicians, fare from Front Range food trucks, and of course, a stacked bar featuring craft brews and boozy libations. At Top Taco, festival-goers sample unlimited taco tastes and signature tequila cocktails from some of the best restaurants in Denver, voting for their favorites to crown four categories of awards: Top Creative Taco, Top Traditional Taco, Top Vegetarian Taco, and Top Cocktail. With 5 stages of amazing music, creative tequila lounge areas, an entire tent dedicated to mezcal tasting and some of the best chefs and mixologists in the city, Top Taco has become the cannot miss summer event in Denver - and always sells out. Whether you are searching for laid back music on a Riverfront or a food festival with party vibes - you cannot go wrong with either of these.
Jacksons in LoDo is hosting a rooftop silent disco party this Saturday night. Hosting seven DJs and all you can drink until 12:30am. I went to Jacksons last weekend and can definitely say it felt like the city was returning to the one we know and love. Do not skip a beat and come join this crazy party. I will say, scheduling a ride share service in advance or walking a few blocks from Coors Field is the best way to ensure you get home timely.
Next we have a new establishment, Drunken Bakery. New to Larimer Square is a whimsical bakery selling French macarons in untraditional flavors (Oreo, Fruity Pebbles, birthday cake); custom cakes; and—why not?—Champagne. This groovy shop makes for a unique Alice and Wonderland tribute, including ceiling props and trippy wall art.
Lastly we have Room for Milly. Milly is easy to visit, without a reservation, for an afternoon or early evening drink and bite with friends, or a cocktail with a love before dinner, or that after dinner night cap to hold in our hands and gradually relax into just being—with no rush to be elsewhere. Milly is the space we created for ourselves and a few friends, reflecting love of travel, color, a little bit of fancy mixed with irreverent intellectuals and artists and a good story. The Delta Royale is my favorite drink, and if Kyle is working ask him to make a tester cocktail for you!
